The B.A.R. is an intentional space created for Senior Ministers to step away from the demands of ministry and experience rest, renewal, fellowship, and spiritual restoration.
Senior Ministers spend their lives pouring into others. The B.A.R. creates an opportunity for those who constantly pour out to be poured back into—without the pressure to preach, lead, perform, or carry the weight of others.
Our Purpose Our purpose is to provide Senior Ministers with a safe and refreshing environment to Breathe, Assess, and Renew: Breathe — Step away from the pressures of ministry. Assess — Reflect on personal, spiritual, and ministerial well-being. Renew — Reconnect with God, purpose, and fellow Senior Ministers. Come away. Be refreshed. Breathe Again.

The B.a.r.
Born From Experience. Built With Purpose.
The B.A.R. (Breathe Again Retreat) is the vision of J.K. Hamilton, Senior Minister of Community Church of Christ. Having experienced firsthand the stress, strain, and responsibilities that come with leading a congregation, setting the example, and feeling the constant need to be “on,” he understands the weight ministry leaders often carry behind the scenes.
Out of his own experiences and testimony, J.K. created The B.A.R. to provide ministers with something they rarely receive—a place to simply breathe.
A place to step away from the demands of leadership, connect with other men who understand the journey, and renew themselves, revitalize their ministry, and reconnect with their purpose.
The B.A.R. was created by a minister, for ministers.
